Dr. Sharon Hadary

Dr. Sharon Hadary is a recognized thought-leader on women's leadership and entrepreneurship. Her book, co-authored with Laura Henderson, How Women Lead: The 8 Essential Strategies Successful Women Know continues to make headlines and has been translated into Portuguese and distributed in Brazil.   Sharon Hadary has been a corporate executive, a researcher, a consultant, a teacher, and an entrepreneur.  When it comes to women’s entrepreneurial and leadership, she knows the people as well as the data.   She has been a leader in creating social change for women for over two decades. At the Center for Women’s Business Research, the premier non-profit research institute devoted to studying women's entrepreneurship, she harnessed the transformational impact of research-based knowledge to open up access to capital, markets, expertise, and networks for women entrepreneurs.  Dr. Hadary has received multiple awards for her work on behalf of women entrepreneurs and leaders.  Further details regarding her Board Committees and selected Awards and Recognition are located here.  

Dr. Ron Head

In Spring 2015, Dr. Ron Head's article was published in The Journal of Applied Research in the Community College: Head, R.B. (2015, Spring). Evidence-based management and community college decision-making.  Journal of Applied Research in the Community College, 22(1), 25-33. The article is located here. This article describes the stages of systematic review, examines challenges faced by those in the community college sector that use systematic review, and explains how systematic review can contribute to a culture of evidence at a community college and lead to a practice of true evidence-based management by community college leaders.

Dr. Diana Watts

Dr. Diana Watts recently presented (2015) two posters at the annual meeting of the Association of Environmental Studies and Sciences in San Diego, CA.  The sustainable corporation as villain or hero: Report from the field and Understanding global food chains: A systems approach to unpacking institutional relationships. Dr. Watts has a forthcoming article to be published, that she co-authored, for the peer-reviewed open access journal, Sustainability: Science, Practice, and Policy.  

Dr. Richard Milter

Dr. Rick Milter wrote a chapter recently for a book published in Transformative Perspectives and Processes in Higher Education, Advances in Business Education and Training: Milter, R.G. Dr. Marcia Bouchard

Dr. Marcia Bouchard (DM 2009), was recently appointed to the Town of Herndon Planning Commission for a four year term. The Planning commission consists of seven citizens. Commissioners are responsible for making critical zoning and planning recommendations to the Town Council on areas such as site plans, subdivision plans, comprehensive plan amendments, and Capital Improvements Program. Written comments can be emailed to Planning.Commission@herndon-va.gov

Dr. Claudine SchWeber

Dr. Claudine SchWeber has been selected for a Middle States Accreditation team visiting a university, in New York City, April 2016. She is an Officer on the Board of The Eastern Academy of Management and chair of the 'works-in-progress' track for the forthcoming EAM conference which will be held from May 4-7, 2016 in New Haven, CT.  Dr. Schweber presented a paper dealing with supporting workplace resilience in the face of frequent change at the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference, Washington DC (June 2015), and a presented a paper “Reality Test: leadership education and ‘managing the unexpected’ “ At the 6th International Research Meeting in Business and Management, France (July 2015).  Dr. Schweber is currently co-editor of Reviews and Research of Note, Organization Management Journal.
